March & April Writing Wrap Up

This year I have decided to break my goal setting and review down to months to make my goals easier bite sized pieces. I’m using this as a record for myself to see what I have achieved throughout the year and to keep myself accountable for set goals.

March by far has been one of the most exciting months of my writing career as I had a positive response back from a publisher! I submitted to a new publishing house in February and four weeks later here I am with a response!

All very exciting however a lesson I’m learning is that the publishing is s-l-o-wwwwww. So, I am learning patience and trying not to check my emails too much to see if this will actually still come to fruition. I’m failing badly at the email checking but, you know, I’m a tryer if nothing else.

Still checking emails but responses from the publisher who liked my manuscript still seem positive. Please publishing gods be on my side!

While I’m waiting though April has been spent madly finishing my WIP which is now titled Killing Heidi Sinclair. I’m not sure if I’ve bitten off more than I can chew with this being from three different points of view but we’ll see how it goes.

What’s Happening in May?

May will be spent still very much with my head in Killing Heidi Sinclair. I have had a wonderful few months brain dumping everything and letting the story roll where it wants, now I really need to buckle in and do the hard yards of making some decisions on plot and then writing again.

What’s happening with you? Have you kicked any goals lately? Let me know!
